Popular YouTube personality Miranda Sings is getting her own Netflix series entitled Haters Back Off. The eight episode series will follow Miranda (alias Colleen Ballinger-Evans), “an incredibly confident, totally untalented star on the rise who continues to fail upward by the power of her belief that she was born famous,” and will give us a look into her family life.
Ballinger-Evans’ character is best known for her self-centered advice and awful attempts at singing. Her first YouTube video premiered in January 2008 and she has since become a YouTube celebrity. Since then, Ballinger-Evans has taken her infamous Miranda Sings character on tour and also appeared on shows such as Victorious and Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld. Her book, Selp-Helf, made the New York Times bestseller list in July 2015.
Miranda Sings currently has over 5.7 million subscribers on her YouTube channel.
