Artist Imagines What Disney Movies Directed By Tim Burton Would Look Like (Hint: Creepy)

If you thought seeing Disney princesses as pin-up girls was something, you need to see Andrew Tarusov‘s latest (and darkest) Disney reimagining.

The Los Angeles-based animator and illustrator has been drawing Disney interpretations for years, answering questions we didn’t even know we had. Like, what would Disney movies look like if they were directed by the one and only master of creep, Tim Burton?

Well, it’s a far stray from the colorful castles and forests we’re used to from Disney animations (and we would imagine that Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter are involved in some way).

If Snow WhiteBambi, and The Lion King were brought to life by the man behind Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Edward Scissorhands, they’d be a bit different – don’t act like you’re not curious.

While we’ll probably never see these interpretations come to life, these illustrations by Tarusov are enough to keep kids up at night. Check them out below.
