Boxing Champ Manny Pacquiao Apologizes For Calling Gay People ‘Worse Than Animals,’ Is Still An A-Hole

Garbage person and eight-time world boxing champion, Manny Pacquiao says he’s “sorry” for calling gay people “worse than animals.” The notorious homophobe said these comments as part of his campaign to score one of 12 seats in the senate of the Philippines. Way to get the people on your side, buddy.

Via CNN:

“It’s common sense. Will you see any animals where male is to male and female is to female? The animals are better. They know how to distinguish male from female. If we approve [of] male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animals.”

Aside from being a total d-bag, he’s also wrong. Scientists have been documenting the homosexual behavior of animals for decades. So there’s that.

Once the comments received (obvious) backlash, – it is 2016 after all- the 37-year-old gave a half-assed apology, most likely prompted by his PR team.

When that didn’t work, he took to Instagram yet again to give a second half-assed apology.

Ah yes, because there’s nothing more LGBT people want to hear than, “I’m sorry for comparing you to animals. (But not really). I don’t condemn who you are, but I don’t think you should have rights. Vote for me, bye.”

In other words, this guy sucks.

People- 1. Pacquiao- 0.
