Taylor Swift Boyfriends 2016: Who Is Taylor Dating Right Now?

Pop princess Taylor Swift and world-famous DJ Calvin Harris are the hot couple right now. The duo just celebrated their one year anniversary today. Taylor said to Hollywood Life that Calvin is the best boyfriend she’s ever had. With him towering at 6’6″, he’s the perfect height for Taylor, who stands at 5’10”.

Calvin is better than all of her exes. And we’re not just talking about height.

Joe Jonas

July 2008 – October 2008

Joe and Taylor seemed like the perfect couple. That is, until he broke up with her over a 27-second phone call. (How could such a sweet looking guy do such a jerky thing?) Her original reactions to the break-up — “Last Kiss” and “Forever and Always” — were a little more scathing (understandably), but her latest perspective on the Jonas Brother — “Holy Ground” — is a lot more positive. She seems to have gotten over Jonas and is looking back at all the things she loved about dating her fellow pop star.

Taylor Lautner

August 2009 – December 2009
Taylor Lautner the teen wolf from Twilight caught Swift’s eye in August of 2009. On the Speak Now single “Back To December,” Swift apologizes to an ex for a rough night, a night that very well could have been the one when she dumped actor Taylor Lautner. How do we know it’s him? Well, she referenced his “tan skin” and “sweet smile.” The guy’s both of those for sure.

John Mayer

December 2009 – February 2010

At 19, Taylor dated John Mayer who was 12 years older than her. She spewed out lines like, “Don’t you think I was too young to be messed with? The girl in the dress cried the whole way home. I should’ve known.” Awww… poor Tay Tay.

Cory Monteith

April 2010 – May 2010

Swift explained to Yahoo that the “Speak Now” song “Mine” was about a guy, “that I just barely knew put his arm around me by the water, and I saw the entire relationship flash before my eyes.” Neither Swift nor “Glee” star Cory Monteith ever confirmed that they were dating — although both turned bright red when Ellen DeGeneres breached the subject.

Jake Gyllenhaal

October 2010 – January 2011

Jake Gyllenhaal isn’t just your typical American film star. His father is a descendant of the Swedish noble Gyllenhaal family. In an NPR interview, Swift explained that “The Last Time” is about an “experience I had with someone who was kind of this unreliable guy. You never know when he’s going to leave, you never know when he’s going to come back, but he always does come back.” Taylor was singing, “Put my name at the top of your list” about Jake.

Conor Kennedy

July 2012 – October 2012

Taylor was four years older than the then 18-year-old Conor Kennedy. In case you didn’t know, Conor is basically American royalty. His father, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is the nephew of  President John F. Kennedy. During an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Taylor explained that her single “Begin Again” is about, “When you’ve gotten through a really bad relationship and you finally dust yourself off.” Seems like Conor was the reason she was singing lyrics like, “I think it’s strange that you think I’m funny ’cause he never did.”

Harry Styles

December 2012 – January 2013

Taylor’s relationship with One Direction‘s Harry Styles was brief and rocky to say the least. Before they were officially a couple — Swift wrote “I Knew You Were Trouble” about Styles. She got that one right. Once they broke up, all she had to tweet was a lyric from the song: “…’til you put me down,” for fans to know it was over.

Calvin Harris

March 2015 – Present

Unlike so many men before him, Calvin isn’t intimidated by Taylor’s megawatt stardom. He couldn’t be more proud of her success. Despite Taylor’s hectic schedule, Calvin’s committed to making this relationship work. No more “I Knew You Were Trouble,” Hello “You Are The One”.
