You can thank your lucky stars, Beyoncé fans. It appears that her new album, Formation, is looking to grace everyone’s lives a bit sooner than had been anticipated.
A release confirmation from Columbia Records has been floating about today, confirming that the album will be released in only a few days. The real kicker, however, is that the release date is listed as April 1, 2016.
Please, Columbia Records, don’t let this be a cruel April Fool’s joke! The fans won’t be able to take it. You can view the release confirmation below.
Not only does this release confirmation reveal the title and release date for Formation, but it reveals the album’s track list that is bolstered by features from Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Frank Ocean and Adele.
Frankly, I do not think that the world is ready for a Beyoncé/Adele collaboration. It’s really possible that, if this song (and album, really) does exist, Beyoncé and Adele fans alike will have their ears explode in sheer auditory joy.
If everything goes according to plan, Formation will be released to Tidal subscribers on April 1. The rest of the world will be blessed with this potential album on April 8.
In case that this is not a cruel April Fool’s joke, there’s still time for you to sign up for a free trial of Tidal tomorrow.
