This Woman’s GPS Told Her To Drive Into A Lake, So She Did

Today in weird news, a 23-year-old Canadian woman was driving through rain and thick nighttime fog when she relied a little too much on her GPS.

According to the Toronto Sun, when she approached a boat launch and her GPS told her to keep going, she did. Little did she know she’d end up taking a dip in Lake Huron. Oops.

The woman- who doesn’t wish to be identified (for obvious reasons), is apparently in good spirits despite her unplanned swim. And luckily her car was old enough to have roll down windows so she was able to escape before the car sank.

“She’s in really good spirits,” Const. Katrina Rubinstein-Gilbert said. “Of course a little embarrassed, but taking it all in stride.”

Despite the water being minus four degrees Celsius, she didn’t suffer hypothermia or sustain any other injuries.

TBH, I have so many questions. Apparently there was no alcohol involved in the incident, but it’s probably time to get a pair of glasses.
