With graduation season in full swing, it’s a crazy time for those with younger siblings who are now seniors in high school. They have been waiting four grueling years for this moment – and it all culminates into one hot, sweaty, early-summer afternoon where they wait and listen for their name to be called.
This teen did exactly what we all wished we had the guts to do at our own high school graduations at her graduation ceremony.
Tayler Michelle Gray decided that she did not want to hang around after her name was called – so she didn’t.
After Gray accepted her high school diploma from Parkland High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania, she walked off stage and just kept walking until she was outside of the building. The video she posted to Twitter has since gone viral with more than 150,000 likes and 80,000 retweets.

“I walked out because I got my diploma and there was no reason for me to stay for the rest of it,” Gray toldĀ Buzzfeed. She left the graduation to spend more time celebrating with her family and friends.
In addition to being a student, the 19-year-old is studying to be a nursing assistant at Lehigh Career and Technical Institute and works at a rehabilitation center for seniors.
