Dominique Mazzone, Temple University

“I’m going to be Miss COED 2017 because I believe I represent my school in a positive light and that I can show younger girls that you can go to a university and have fun while focusing on academics, friends, and other activities you’re interested in. College has been the best couple years of my life, I would love to pay my school back by representing them in the best way possible.”

Heidi Hoback, Virginia Tech

“If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, I would say “Do not care what they think! And everything will work out exactly how you want it!”

Keeleigh Thayn, University of Nebraska – Lincoln

“I love my college because I bleed Husker Red and I couldn’t be happier to say I attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. UNL provides that big campus feeling but with a family-like student body. With a diversity of students from every walk of life, each student takes away a sort of learning that can’t be taught in a classroom. From sporting events to graduations, you feel as if you are with your family even when surrounded by complete strangers.”

Christa Widjaja, Texas Tech

“If I had 24 hours left to live, I would skydive if I hadn’t already done it yet, and I am definitely doing that somewhere with beautiful scenery. I would eat all of my favorite foods that I could get to (restaurant and homemade). I would also want to be with my closest friends and family just having a good time together and not even talking about how it would be my last 24 hours.”

Lindsay Carpenter, University of Arizona

“The coolest class I’ve taken so far is sports advertising. It was awesome to learn all of the ins and outs of what really goes into advertising.”

Ciara Castro, Texas A&M Corpus Christi

“I major in Pre-Nursing with a minor in Health Sciences. I hope to eventually get my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and further pursue my career to be a travel nurse and/or help with the Red Cross or a project with Wounded Warriors! I come from a military family, so that’s where my heart is settled.”
