Ariana Grande does not put up with any s**t. She certainly didn’t back down this past Thursday during an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, On Air With Ryan Seacrest.
Things got a pretty cringeworthy when Seacrest implied that the 23-year-old’s recent Instagram photo, which features her and Mac Miller with the caption “baabyyy,” was a confirmation of the pair’s relationship. Grande immediately fired back:
“Oh, is that what I did? Is that what Instagram means to you now? All right world, let’s go. What was that segue?”
Burn. Seacrest responded, “I don’t know. That’s why I’m asking.” To which Grande quipped back, “What are you asking? You said a sentence, there was no question. … I don’t know, man.” Seacrest replied, “Well, come on, man.” Even reading this is so awkward.
The singer refused to reveal any details about her rumored relationship with Miller and seemed pretty agitated about the line of questioning. “It’s like, ‘Good morning, On Air With Ryan Seacrest.’ It’s too early for this kind of tea. It’s too early, man,” she complained. But Seacrest wasn’t about to let it go so easily, being that his job is to get information out of the people that come on his show. “That’s what we do. If you post something — even in my life — if I post something, it becomes something,” Seacrest reminded Grande. But she wasn’t having any of it:
“If I post something, then that’s what I’m willing to share at the moment. That doesn’t mean that you, Ryan Seacrest, with millions of listeners, are entitled to more information.”
Fair enough, Ari. Check out the awkward video below.
