Christina Grimmie may be gone, but she certainly has not been forgotten.
The 2016 iHeart Radio Music Festival put together a touching tribute to the late singer, who was fatally shot by a gunman at an Orlando concert this past June. The emotional tribute features a mix of clips of Grimmie’s live performances and viral YouTube videos, as well as a poignant message to her loyal fans. In the video, the former Voice contestant described how much her fans meant to her:
“My fans are literally the biggest part of why I’m this far, why I’m doing what I’m doing is because you guys support me and have such a love for me… You are an extremely unique, individual person. Don’t let those invalid opinions of others just bring you to the pits, okay?”
This year’s iHeart Radio Music Festival marks the one-year anniversary of Grimmie’s first performance on the iHeart Radio stage, where she kicked off the Las Vegas event this same time last year. Check out the touching tribute video, which iHeart Radio tweeted out, below.
