Our favorite star on Twitter is Chrissy Teigen, hands down. She’s honest, speaks her mind and she’s funny as hell. But after years of following her hilarious tweets, Teigen has decided to make her account private and protect her tweets.
Late yesterday a follower noticed the change, asking “is your account private now?” Teigen responded with, “Yeah. Not strong enough anymore.”
Later she clarified: “It’s not the haters or trolls or generally mean people. I just feel like I am absorbing bad sh*t 24/7. My body and mind cannot handle it anymore.”
Despite what she claims, Teigen has been a major target of trolls for a while, especially after she started speaking out about the upcoming election. Other than being incredibly blunt about her disdain for GOP candidate Donald Trump (in November of 2015 she called him a twat and things have only gotten worse from there), she also announced her support for Hillary Clinton and went to Las Vegas to speak at one of her rallies.
The response was mostly positive, but trolls still came out of the woodwork. We’re not going to give them too much spotlight, but the below sentiment mirrored countless other tweets.
Usually Teigen is the master of roasting these a**holes. We lived for her retweets and zinger-filled commentary, like this:

But, as Robert Frost so eloquently stated, nothing gold can stay, and Chrissy Teigen has finally had enough. At least it was fun while it lasted.
