Azealia Banks Admits To Sacrificing Chickens In Bizarre Instagram Video

Azealia Banks is no stranger to controversy, but her latest stint could lose her a few fans. In an Instagram video that has since been deleted from her feed, Banks shows herself cleaning out a cupboard after she used it to sacrifice chickens for the last three years.

The video starts with Banks looking ready to start a DIY project. “The amount of crap that’s about to come off my floor right now guys,” she says. “Oh my God.”

When the camera pans to the cabinet, which is covered in blood and feathers, viewers quickly realize that this is no ordinary cleaning job. “Guys, you know, I’ve got to scrape all this sh*t up,” she explained. “I’ve got my sandblaster, my goggles… it’s about to go down. Real witches do things.”

What. The. Actual. F*ck. While the rapper doesn’t reveal why she’s been sacrificing chickens for the last several years, she claims that it’s “three years of brujeria,” which is Spanish for “witchcraft.” Check out the video below, but be warned, it’s definitely graphic.

In an article with Broadly last year, Banks claimed to be a witch, explaining, “My mother practiced white table magic. Prayers to the ancestors and praying to saints and praying for all kind of protection.”

“Black people are naturally born SEERS, DIVINERS, WITCHES AND WIZARDS,” she went on to explain in a later tweet. “We have REAL supernatural powers, and the sooner we ALL learn to cultivate them and access them, the sooner we can REALLY fix sh*t.”
