Kaitlyn Bristowe Is Sounding Off After Nick Viall Is Set to Do ‘Dancing with the Stars’ — When She Wasn’t Allowed

As you’ve probably heard by now, Nick Viall will continue to plague our Monday night TV screens — he’s joining the new cast of Dancing With the Stars after his season of The Bachelor is over.

As if that wasn’t bad enough — haven’t we been tortured by Nick enough by now, ABC?! — former The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe says she wasn’t allowed to compete on the reality show.

In response to a tweet from Whitney Bischoff, who “won” Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor but later broke up after he competed on DWTS, Kaitlyn revealed that a Bachelor producer told her she couldn’t put on her dancing shoes.

“Actually I was offered it, had the contract & Mike Fliess told me I wasn’t allowed,” she tweeted. “He said he didn’t want people wanting fame after his show.”

Of course, she completed the post with a thinking face emoji.kaitlyn-bristowe-tweet

Fleiss tweeted out that Kaitlyn was free to go on DWTS, but it came a little too late.

She’s right — it’s totally not fair. Plenty of guys who starred on The Bachelor have competed on DWTS afterwards —  Jake Pavelka, Sean Lowe, Chris Soules, and now Nick Viall have gotten the gig.

However, no Bachelorettes.

Melissa Rycroft, however, “won” her season of The Bachelor before being dumped by Jason Mesnick for the show’s runner-up, Molly Malaney. She went on to place third on DWTS then first on DWTS: All-Stars.

Nick will pair off with new mom Peta Murgatroyd for season 24.
