Country, pop and rap are joining together in this three-night concert experience. Florida Georgia Line, who previously announced that they were touring with Nelly and Chris Lane, just dropped that the Backstreet Boys will also be joining them for a few specific dates. The tour will be going to Boston, Minneapolis and Chicago over the summer.

The Backstreet Boys are currently performing in Las Vegas in their “Larger than Life” concert experience. The past couple of years, the Backstreet Boys have made appearances on NBC and ABC. Nick Carter and AJ Mclean even appeared on Spike’s Lipsync Battle with Gigi Hadid. While they haven’t dropped their own album since 2013 (In A World Like This), rumors have been circulating for a few years now that the boy band is recording a new album. In 2016, the group released “God, Your Mama and Me,” a collaboration between the band and Florida Georgia Line. It appeared on FGL’s third album called Dig Your Roots.
Dig Your Roots also featured Tim McGraw and Ziggy Marley. While Mcgraw and Marley aren’t accompanying the country band on their Smooth Tour, lead musician Brian Kelley is still excited for the other artists that are. “It’s good to be back out on tour with some of our best friends, Nelly and Chris Lane,” he said. “If it’s any indication of our ballpark tour a couple years ago, this should be the party of the year! We are excited to see and connect with all of our fans, and make as many memories as we can.”
This certainly is going to be an interesting concert. Who knows, maybe Mcgraw will show up on the tour as well. Either way, we can’t wait to hear the live footage of the Backstreet Boys singing together with Florida Georgia Line.
