Stats have shown that marriage rates are currently decreasing, but wedding prices are getting steeper. The price of an average American wedding is $35,329 according to the Washington Times, while the most expensive weddings are in Manhattan at $78,464. Well, one wedding blows those prices out of the water.
Folarin Alakija recently got hitched to Iranian model Nazanin Jafarian Ghaissarifar. Alakija’s father is a Nigerian oil tycoon and the 18th richest person in Africa, so it’s safe to say they’re loaded. Their wedding was hosted at Blenheim Palace in England for a whopping $6.4 million. Might as well do it big, right?

Well, for one, the couple had their first dance on a marble floor accented with their initials in gold. I mean, aesthetics, right? Victoria’s Secret model Shanina Shaik was in attendance and snapped a pic. One of the main features of the wedding was the use of a million white flowers, which made for a seriously enviable backdrop.

The couple had help from one of the best in the industry, celebrity florist Jeff Leatham, who’s also the artistic director of the Four Seasons Hotel in Paris.

There was also a 12-foot wedding cake, covered in blooms, and a five-course meal. The reception ended with Robin Thicke performing and a fireworks show. As for Nazanin’s dress, she chose a strapless gown with subtle lace detailing.
