Once upon a time, photographer Karen Marie set out to take Disney princess-themed photos of newborn babies… And the resulting photos left us all living happily ever after.
Marie works with Belly Beautiful Portraits, located in Roseville, California, and said she was struck by the senses of heroism and adventure that are signature to Disney princesses. She wanted to bring those things to her shoot and decided to recreate six of Disney’s signature leading ladies. It wasn’t an easy task, but just like the princesses, Marie was bold.
The whole thing took eight hours. “I’ve had this idea in my head for so long,” she told local station KCRA3. “My staff and the lady who makes the gowns all sort of came together to create this six sets.”
The outfits were created by Sew Trendy Accessories and the detail in each photo is jaw-dropping.

Belly Beautiful PortraitsMarie said that working with six babies was “difficult,” but she’s not stopping anytime soon. She’s going to continue her series with other newborn babies posing as other princesses such as Tiana, Pocahontas and Moana. “My favorite part about photographing babies is knowing in my heart how much these images will mean to families for generations to come,” she told Babble.
Sounds like happily ever after to us.
