For those of you who were sad to say goodbye to Rosewood this summer, Freeform has some pretty exciting news.

Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish will return as Alison DiLaurentis and Mona Vanderwaal in an all new series, The Perfectionists. The two won’t be returning to the town where it all started, but they will be venturing into a different neighborhood with all new characters and a brand new murder.

The Perfectionists is another book-to-television adaptation from the author who wrote the Pretty Little Liars book series, Sara Shepard.

In a recent press release, Freeform gave the run-down of the new series.

“Everything about the town of Beacon Heights seems perfect, from their top-tier college to their overachieving residents. But nothing in Beacon Heights is as it appears to be. The stress of needing to be perfect leads to the town’s first murder. Behind every Perfectionist is a secret, a lie and a needed alibi.”

The Perfectionists book series doesn’t actually feature Alison and Mona. The characters are called Ava, Caitlin, Mackenzie, Julie and Parker so the creator of the television adaptation, I. Marlene King, is meshing the new show with the Rosewood universe that has already been brought to life.

The plot description mentions college, so some fans were wondering if maybe the new murder took place during the five-year gap in Pretty Little Liars, but unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be true.

Pieterse told E! News that the two shows aren’t really connected, “They’re just putting my character into it.”

A bit of a bummer, but anything with Alison and Mona is bound to be interesting.

Look’s like we’ll just have to wait for the reveal of the secrets in Beacon Heights.
