The 10 Best Movies To Binge-Watch On Girls’ Night

|

Science has proven that there’s nothing better than spending some much-needed time with your best friends after a long week of work. But what’s the best way to utilize your time with your girls? Binge-watching some of your fave chick flicks is always a good start!

Crack open that new bottle of wine, start popping the popcorn and mix together your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe… or just leave the dough. That’s cool, too. It’s time for a movie night. These are the top 10 best movies for the ultimate girls’ night in.

1. The Fault In Our Stars

The movie is based on John Green’s best-seller. The Fault In Our Stars is about two sick teenagers, Hazel, who is a terminal cancer patient, and Gus, who is a cancer survivor. They fall head over heels for each other after meeting at a cancer support group. Adorable! The two patients go on an incredible adventure to Amsterdam to meet the author of Hazel’s favorite book.

The couple learns a lot about love and loss in the short amount of time they spend together. You and your girls will cry.

2. Clueless

Are you and your girls in the mood to laugh, but also want a good love story? Clueless is the movie to watch. The movie is about Cher and her friends, who all have the perfect life. Cher and her girls wear ridiculous outfits and spout hilarious one-liners throughout. If you and your girls can relate, watch this movie!

3. The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants

This movie showcases a beautiful friendship between four girls who found one pair of jeans that fit all four of them. The pants bring good luck to all of them as the girls go through heartbreak, love and a lot of adventures.  The four best friends show their loyalty to each other and are always there for one another with a shoulder to cry on.

You will laugh, cry and maybe even pick up the tradition of sharing pants with your best friends, too.

4. The Duff

Have you seen this word before? It stands for the “Designated Ugly Fat Friend” of a group. This movie is full of humor, but also love. It’s about three girls, two of whom are beautiful and the other one is just there. One girl that looks like she doesn’t belong. Can you relate?

Like many movies, this one started out as a book.

If you watch this movie with your girls, be careful because you might find out that you are The Duff of your friend group! Watch out.

5. The Notebook

A love story that will never go unnoticed. The Notebook is one of the most romantic movies of all time. It will make you and your girls ugly cry. From the old couple reminiscing to the passionate kiss in the rain to the love triangle, it’s amazing start to finish.

Are you and your girls looking for a good cry? Then I recommend this movie! Maybe save it for last or you won’t want to watch any more movies after this one. It’s an emotional roller coaster, that’s for sure.

6. Pitch Perfect

Last call, pitches! Check out the #PitchPerfect3 poster and see the trailer tomorrow.

Why should you watch this movie? Because it’s aca-awesome, aca-tastic and aca-mazing! Okay, I’m done. But seriously, this movie is so funny and I have no doubt in my mind that you will burst out laughing while you watch. From Anna Kendrick’s famous cup song to Fat Amy’s one-liners, this is a movie you don’t want to miss.

Pitch Perfect 2 was also released in 2015 and Pitch Perfect 3 is coming to theaters on December 22, 2017. Can’t wait!

7. 13 Going On 30

Ah, this movie is a classic.

Have you ever wanted magical wish dust to grant you a lifelong dream? I know I have! Jenna gets to live her lifelong dream of being “30, flirty and thriving” as she learns important life lessons along the way.

Lessons include: it’s okay to fall in love with your best friend because when you get older he will turn out to be handsome and to never change who you are or where you came from. This is definitely a must-watch movie with the girls.

8. Legally Blonde

“Whoever said Orange was the new Pink was seriously disturbed.” Happy #NationalPinkDay! #LegallyBlonde

Who doesn’t love to watch a movie where you are constantly judged and underestimated because you love shopping and wearing pink instead of hitting the books to study?

Elle Woods was heartbroken when her ex-boyfriend broke up with her because she was not smart enough. Elle decides to prove him wrong and attend Harvard Law School and to win him back, of course.

But along the way, Elle learns a lot of life lessons and what she really wants in life.

There are many sequels to Legally Blonde, I suggest to watch them all because they are amazing and so worth it.

9. Easy A

Easy A is one of my fave movies tbh #emmastone #emilystone #lalaland #easya #birdman #battleofthesexes #stonefield #emdrew #insta

This movie is one of the most empowering chick flicks ever for the most part. It’s about turning everyone’s stupid obsession with virginity and chastity into a comedy film. You and your girls will be on the floor laughing. It’s a hilarious movie, but with every chick flick there is also a love story. This is a beautiful one, I might add.

Plus, Emma Stone is wonderful and perfect for this movie.

10. A Cinderella Story

Many people may not love the Cinderella movies, but I do. I think these are the perfect movies to watch with your girls if you are all looking for your Prince Charming.

My personal favorite is the one starring Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray. First, they are super cute together and second, Chad Michael Murray is gorgeous to look at. The scene of them kissing in the rain on the bleachers is next-level romance. Wouldn’t you want Chad Michael Murray run up to you and kiss you in the rain? I already know my answer.

The two sequels starring Selena Gomez and Lucy Hale are equally as amazing as the first, though.
