Break out the baking sheets and the frosting and turn on Cupcake Wars, because today we are celebrating the chocolate cupcake.
National Chocolate Cupcake Day is celebrated annually on October 18. Honestly, homemade cupcakes are the best, so if you feel like channeling your inner Martha Stewart, you can try these chocolate brownie birthday cupcakes, sugared brown butter vanilla bean popcorn chocolate cupcakes, or red wine chocolate cupcakes.
But let’s be real. It’s Wednesday and most of us would rather lay on the couch to binge watch reality television and not make a mess of our kitchen after a full day of work. So you can observe this religious chocolate holiday by stopping by your local Baked By Melissa, Sprinkles or even CVS for a package of Hostess CupCakes.
People are getting into the spirit of the chocolate cupcake by tweeting #NationalChocolateCupcakeDay along with mouthwatering photos so definitely check those out along with our collection of our calorie-free memes. But if chocolate cupcakes aren’t really your thing, in a couple of weeks we will be celebrating National Vanilla Cupcake day on November 10 and National Cupcake Day (red velvet, funfetti, s’mores and all other kinds of cupcakes without discrimination) on December 15.
