Say Hello To Starbucks’ New Holiday Cups

Now that Halloween is over, it’s officially the start of the holiday season. From ugly sweaters to savory turkey to warm hot chocolate, there’s no doubt that we’re super excited. And what’s even more exciting than all of those festivities? Drinking that delicious hot cocoa out of the new Starbucks holiday cups!

That’s right, they’re back! Starbucks released its holiday menu along with photos of the festive cups. There is one difference: they’re no longer red. The coffee company created a design that is filled with a series of different pictures of holiday cheer and festivities in black and white with hints of red and green.

The message behind the new design is to “give good,” which is also written in bold letters on the new red cup sleeves. Leanne Fremar, the Executive Creative Director of Starbucks, made a statement saying, “This year’s cup is intentionally designed to encourage our customers to add their own color and illustrations.”

As much as we might miss the iconic red cups, the message behind these new cups is inspiring. During this time of the year, it’s important to remember those that are less fortunate than you and try to give as much as you can. “The holidays are a time to celebrate all the good we give to each other and our community,” Fremar said.

Even though it’s a change, fans are super excited to see the new cups and the start of the holiday season with the traditional Starbucks holiday flavors.

Red cups or not, we will welcome the most wonderful time of the year with eggnog lattes (finally!) in these new festive cups. And remember to #givegood when you drink your favorite flavored latte this holiday season.
