Ah, Thanksgiving.
Carb-loading, football, sweaters, awkward family photos, apple cider, fireplaces and pumpkin pie. The holiday season really is the most wonderful time of the year, but it can also be the most difficult to get through.
You’ll probably be stuck listening to your grandfather and great uncle argue about Donald Trump as you babysit your kid cousins who don’t actually know who you are since you aren’t home most of the year, all while counting down the minutes until dinner is ready. Your grandma will probably ask about your non-existent boyfriend and then your distant aunt who follows you on Instagram will probably comment on the photos you’ve been posting while you’re still counting down the minutes until dinner is ready. Why does turkey take so long to cook?
Let’s be real, you look forward to the madness every year because you really are so thankful for your crazy family. You wouldn’t trade them for the world even though you wish you were baked like the potatoes in the oven at these extended family gatherings.
