Winter (aka Netflix and chill season) is finally here and so is our excuse to re-download Tinder and scope out the new lineup of f*ckboys eagerly awaiting to string us along on yet another journey of stress, torment and wasted time.
Yes, there is a plethora of men to decide upon, but there’s one particular specimen of douchebag whose sole life purpose is to embarrass you: the guy with a girlfriend who just needs a part-time booty call.
Before you officially embark on your cuddle buddy quest, you need to watch out for these signs that your Netflix and chill go-to boo actually has a girl on the low and is just using you as a side piece.
1. He never wants to be seen with you in public.
Sis, he’s not trying to keep his private life “private,” he has a girlfriend. If he wants to keep you as a side piece, he can’t have other people seeing you two in public.
2. He only wants to see you at night.
He’s most likely reserving the daytime for his girlfriend. If you try to confront him about this, he’ll probably say that he’s just too busy to hang out during the day. People make time for the ones they are interested in and want to see. Don’t fall for this trap.
3. He crops you out of photos.
Does he duck in every photo you try to take with him?
He ducks because he doesn’t want to have any evidence of you on his social media! If he wanted to take things further he wouldn’t be so paranoid about showing you off, let alone being in a photo with you.
4. You’re saved under another name on his phone.
No, he wasn’t trying to give you a kinky pet name when he saved you under Taco Bell on his phone. *Face palm.*
5. He doesn’t take you on dates.
What do your dates consist of? Netflix and chill followed by him silently exiting your house while you sleep?
He doesn’t want you to think that he wants anything more than a booty call, and so he leaves before you can do any cute ‘couple-y’ stuff, like cuddling or just having a conversation.
6. You don’t know that much about him.
NO, he’s not just being mysterious. Where does he live? Who is his best friend? What is his last name? What is his first name? Do you even know if that is his real first name? Can you answer any of the above questions??
7. He’ll ignore you out of the blue for hours at a time.
Why? BECAUSE HE’S WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND!!
Please, if you’re in a situation like this and you suspect that you’re the side chick, do yourself a favor and LEAVE. Exit with whatever dignity you have left before he tries to embarrass you even more!
