Coachella is going to be kicking off the 2018 festival season in a big way. The two-weekend music festival in Indio, California headliners were leaked and you are going to want to buy your tickets ASAP.
According to Consequence of Sound, the three main headliners for Coachella 2018 are Beyonce, Eminem and The Weeknd.
Beyonce is already confirmed to be headlining this upcoming Coachella. She was booked to headline the 2017 festival, but because of her pregnancy was unable to and had to be rescheduled for 2018.
Eminem just released his first album in four years. Even though Eminem is a huge rapper, this will be his first time headlining a festival.
This will also be The Weeknd’s first festival headliner. The Weeknd hasn’t put out any new music since 2016, so maybe this means an album will be dropping soon.
Rumors are circulating that Beyonce’s performance will also be a Destiny’s Child reunion. The iconic female R&B group reunited during Bey’s Super Bowl Halftime Performance. But it was only Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams who were there.
This Coachella reunion is supposedly going to include the former members, LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett.
If Beyonce, Eminem and The Weeknd are the headliners than that’s huge for Coachella. For the past three years, the three headliners have been a mix of rap, pop and classic rock bands. But this year’s rumored headliners have no classic rock bands. Maybe Coachella is becoming less hippie-dippie.
Coachella 2018 will be April 13-15 and April 20-22. Tickets have yet to go on sale.
Typically Coachella lineups are confirmed in January or February so fingers-crossed.
Coachella released their lineup for the 2018 festival and Consequence of Sound was right. The Weeknd is headlining Friday, Beyonce is Saturday and Eminem is Sunday.
The headliners are stacked, but so is the rest of the lineup. SZA, Post Malone, Migos and Cardi B are all performing during the festival.
