Toast National Champagne Day With These Memes

It makes total sense that National Champagne Day falls on New Years Eve.

Many toasts will be made tonight to the people you love, to the celebrations and to the new year over the classy drink. Here’s a few things to know about the bubbly wine.

  1. It can only be called “champagne” if it was made in Champagne, France. Otherwise, it’s just called “sparkling wine.”
  2. There are over one million bubbles in single glass of champagne (but who counted them all?)
  3. Champagne is best served chilled.
  4. It doesn’t have to be New Years Eve to raise your glass!
  5. The most expensive bottle is over $2 million.
  6. Drinking champagne three times per week helps prevent memory loss.
  7. Corks fly out at a speed of 25 mph.
  8. Marilyn Monroe once took a bath in over 350 bottles worth of champagne.
  9. It contains less calories than most other alcoholic beverages.
  10. The original champagne glass was moulded out of Marie Antoinette’s left breast.

In all seriousness, people actually have gotten serious injuries from opening a bottle. In order to avoid a trip to the ER tonight, make sure the bottle is chilled, hold the cork down with the palm of your hand while removing the wire caging, place a towel over the top of the cork and begin to twist it out away from any people. That should do the trick while avoiding the most possible accidents.

Enjoy your New Years Eve and enjoy these funny champagne memes!
