Ricky Martin Married! Ties The Knot With Jwan Yosef

Ricky Martin is officially off the market! The singer and actor just revealed that he married his fiance Jwan Yosef after only two years of dating. Martin is currently doing press for his role in the movie The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story and revealed to E! News that he is officially a taken man.

Martin was recently spotted on the red carpet for the controversial FX movie and coyly told the big news. “We exchanged vows, and we’ve signed all the papers that we needed to sign, prenups and everything. I can’t introduce him as my fiancé. He’s my husband. He’s my man.”

The 46-year-old has kept his private life very quiet since coming out in a heartfelt confession eight years ago. After years of denial and speculation, Martin revealed why he kept the secret so quiet during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning.

“I struggled so much… it was extremely painful.I was afraid… I was afraid of rejection, unfortunately. For many years, a lot of people told me that my feelings were evil. What you’re feeling is not godly, that I’m not a good person if I’m feeling this,” he confessed.

“No more of that, I’m a good person, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with me. I’ve been the happiest man ever since” he declared.

It’s been nearly a year since Martin appeared on Ellen to discuss his proposal and engagement to hubby.

In the video, Martin describes how he proposed and just how nervous he was. “I got on my knees, and I took out the little metal box. I just had it in a little velvet pouch. And instead of saying, ‘Would you marry me?’ I said, ‘I got you something!’ Bad! And then he was like, ‘Yes?’ I said ‘I want to spend my life with you,’ and he was like, ‘What is the question?’ (I said) ‘Would you marry me?’ That’s it.'”

Perhaps Martin kept the wedding on the low due to his recent concerns with not being able to celebrate with the entire family. Martin expressed his concerns over the recent ban ordered by president Trump saying, “We also have to deal with the fact that most of my fiancé’s family is from Syria. So maybe they won’t be able to come into this country.”

While he was unsure of how or when he’d tie the knot there is one thing Martin can ensure: “We’re doing a heavy party in a couple of months,” he told the press. “I’ll let you know.”

While we wait for details of Martin and Yosef’s wedding reception, the parents of two boys were recently featured showing off their gorgeous home for Architectural Digest.
