Oprah Winfrey is the wealthiest African American in the world and is arguably one of the most influential people in Hollywood. We all know Oprah’s story, how she was born into poverty, raised by her single mother, moved to Tennesee to live with her father, got a radio gig during high school and the rest is history.
Her life growing up wasn’t easy, but Oprah persevered. Her career began to flourish, and The Oprah Winfrey Show was born in the fall of 1986. It quickly became the most popular talk show of all time, beating out all the other white male talk shows.
Oprah is known for many things besides The Opray Winfrey Show. She is known for her magazine O, The Oprah Magazine, her production company Harpo Productions and her very own channel OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. But there is something else Oprah is known for, her love of vegetables.
Seriously does anyone love vegetables and gardening as much as Oprah? She is always posting photos of herself with massive baskets of fresh veggies and pictures of her in her garden picking a new batch of greens. Whenever Oprah picks fresh food from her backyard, she tags the photos #HarvestDay.
The number of fresh vegetables that Oprah picks means she’s either having huge dinner parties once a week, donating the produce or she literally eats vegetables nonstop 24/7 like a rabbit. There is no denying that Oprah has a green thumb and a talented one if that. All of her #HarvestDay photos feature ginormous vegetables.
In honor of Oprah’s birthday, here are her best #HarvestDay Instagram photos.
