When selecting a song to perform to at the Olympic games, there is absolutely a right answer, and it’s always Beyoncé.
French figure skater Maé-Bérénice Méité set Twitter on fire this weekend with her mashup of “Run the World (Girls)” and “Halo,” sporting a glittering gold jumpsuit that would look at home in a music video.
The 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics marks the first year Olympic figure skaters are permitted to use music with lyrics in their routines, and Méité showed the world exactly what they had been missing with her impeccable song selection and playful choreography.
“[Her music] is crazy, wild, and fun,” she told Cosmopolitan.com in an interview. “You can just dance to it, and that’s how I am.”
Unfortunately, a fall made her lose points, landing in ninth place.
Still, while Méité didn’t take home the gold, Twitter thought her performance was ***flawless.
Based on her impeccable bedazzling and choice of Beyoncé medley, I am supporting Meite in Olympic figure skating, sorry USA.
