Mary Poppins is a classic film. Julie Andrews brought the magical British nanny to life and enchanted so many. But now the movie is getting a reboot.
The new Mary Poppins movie, called Mary Poppins Returns, will come out around Christmas time later this year and Emily Blunt is our new Mary Poppins.
The first trailer for the movie dropped during the 90th Oscars tonight.

The trailer promises a new story, so don’t expect the same old movie just redone in high def. I think we’ll be going on some new adventures and maybe some new music. Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote and starred in Hamilton, is also in the film, so maybe he has lent his hand with the music as well.
Emily Blunt isn’t even the biggest star signed on to Mary Poppins Returns. Meryl Streep, Colin Firth and Julie Walters are all in the movie as well.
The original Mary Poppins starred Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke. It came out in 1964 and grossed over $115 million worldwide.
Even after all these years Mary Poppins is still an iconic pop culture figure and is more than deserving of a reboot.
