Last night Frances McDormand won her second Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Her speech was one of the best of the night. She made all the nominated women stand up in solidarity and celebrate each other and talked about inclusion. It was really empowering.

McDormand was at the Governors Ball, the Oscars official after-party when the random guy snatched her award. Supposedly she set down her Oscar probably thinking no one would take it because she’s in a room full of her peers when this man grabbed it.
New York Times reporter tweeted out a photo of the man who allegedly stole the award. She said that after he grabbed it he ran for the door, but was stopped by a photographer, who after taking his picture, got the award back. He didn’t crash the Governors Ball, he had a ticket.
Security at the Governors Ball are looking for this guy, who grabbed Frances McDormand’s Oscar and ran out with it. Wolfgang Puck’s photographer stopped him, got the Oscar back, and the guy disappeared back into the ball. Apparently Frances has said to let him go. #Oscars #Drama pic.twitter.com/5tlsx4Ulwt

Supposedly when her award was MIA she was a mess. McDormand was seen crying after giving up searching for her Oscar. Luckily it was found and Bryant was reprimanded.
One of her reps, Simon Halls confirmed that she did get her Academy Award back. “Fran and Oscar are happily reunited and are enjoying an In-N-Out burger together,” Halls said in an email to USA Today.
