Did Emily Blunt Just Reveal A ‘Devil Wears Prada’ Sequel?

Actress Emily Blunt revealed in a new interview that while she isn’t ruling out a sequel to the iconic fashion film The Devil Wears Prada, she isn’t hoping for it either.

Emily revealed in an interview with People magazine that she feels that there are some things that just can’t be duplicated.

“If everyone did it I would be up for it,” she said.

“I almost hope it doesn’t [happen] because I think sometimes when you sequel everything kind of dilutes how special the original is.”

The actress starred in the now-iconic film alongside Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci.

“We all just wept with laughter,” Emily said to People.

“I loved working with sweet Annie Hathaway and it was my first experience working Meryl [Streep] and Stanley Tucci who is now my brother-in-law,” she revealed.

Stanley married Emily’s sister Felicity in 2012.

Fans have waited for sequel news for the film, which details the life of a fashion assistant, played by Anne Hathaway, who works under intimidating magazine editor Miranda Priestly.

The 2006 film would go on to gross $326 million worldwide, according to People.

In an interview with Seth Meyers, the actress talked about one thing she has in common with her Devil Wears Prada alter ego: “resting b-tch face.”

“I wasn’t aware that was a thing,” she said.

The actress once said about her performance in the film, “It makes me want to throw up in my mouth.”

“The thought that I could possibly do that in a Meryl Streep film is insane!” she once told Elle. “I find myself snorting derisively about that.”

The actress can be seen as the star of the film thriller A Quiet Place, directed by and co-starring her husband John Krasinski, now in theaters.
