Nicki Minaj Just Announced She’s Dropping New Music This Week

Nicki Minaj has been MIA recently. The rapper hasn’t released new music since The Pinkprint, which came out in 2014. But finally Nicki is back and new music is going to be here soon, like this Thursday soon.

She just announced on her Instagram that she is dropping new music. The first post is for what I’m assuming is a new single called “Barbie Tingz.” The single is dropping Thursday, April 12 at 1 P.M. EST. The photo shows Nicki and four other women in Victorian-era ball gowns. The women are all wearing masks except Nicki.

The second post is for a second single I’m assuming. The single is called “Chun-Li” and shows Nicki wearing all Fendi with space buns that would put Princess Leia to shame. “Chun-Li” is dropping the same time as “Barbie Tingz” is.

A popular Twitter account @MadBlackThot pointed out that Chun-Li is street fighter character in Capcom’s Street Fighter series. Chun-Li was the first female street fighter in the series. So now fans think that Nicki is going to go in on “Chun-Li.”

More rumors about Nicki’s recently announced singles is that the singles will drop with a music video. Like Drake‘s recent “Nice For What?” single. There’s also a tweet of Nicki’s from August 2017 when she used the hashtag #BarbieTingz, the title of her new single.

The tweet is her responding to Cardi B, so now there is speculation that the track will be about Cardi or she’ll be on it. We will have to wait and see.

Fans have been speculating that Nicki was going to drop music soon. On April 8 she tweeted “4” then deleted it. Leaving fans to believe she was going to countdown to new music. It seems they’re right because four days after April 8 is April 12 when the singles are dropping.

She then tweeted “3” the next day and so did Young Thug, so there is speculation that Young Thug is on one of her singles.

I don’t care if these two songs drop with no features or music videos, I’m just happy that Nicki is back.
