Ariana Grande Shocks Fans With Surprise Coachella Set

Ariana Grande debuted her new single “No Tears Left to Cry” during the second week of the Coachella music festival just hours after the song and video dropped. This is her first new music since 2016’s Dangerous Woman.

She made a surprise appearance at Coachella on Friday, April 20 during music producer Kygo’s set.

The singer and actress made the trip to Indio, California to perform her single live for the first time during the festival’s second weekend.

Rolling Stone reported that the singer also performed a rendition of Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” during her set with Kygo.

This is the second performance of the year for Ariana, who sang “Be Alright” atย the March for Our Lives gun control rally on March 24 in Washington D.C.

Rumors spread that Ariana would perform after a tweet dropped by her manager Scooter Braun.

“Hey, Ariana Grande … what are you up to tonight?” he asked.

Kygo paid tribute to Avicii during his set following the DJ’s death on April 20.

“Today is a very sad day for music,” said the producer during his set, according to Rolling Stone.

“Earlier today, I got the news that Avicii passed away, only 28 years old. Avicii was my biggest musical inspiration, and he was the reason I started making music. So I don’t think I would have been on the stage if it wasn’t for him.

“And I know he has inspired a million other producers out there,” he said before closing out his set with Avicii’s hit “Without You.”
