Carrie Underwood Reveals Face Fall ‘Wasn’t Pretty’

Carrie Underwood revealed in a new interview to iHeartMedia that her face fall “wasn’t pretty” and admitted she worried about her looks after the gruesome accident.

Carrie revealed on “The Bobby Bones show” just how bad her facial injuries were.

“I was taking the dogs out … and I just tripped.

“There was one step, and I didn’t let go of the leashes — priorities! — so that’s why my left hand’s fine, but I went to catch myself and I just missed a step.

“If I had fallen anywhere else I would be perfectly fine, but it was one step that messed everything up,” she revealed.

Carrie explained that she fell right on her face and that she subsequently needed 50-50 stitches to her mouth area.

She explained that she was very lucky in the months after her accident in regards to her face healing properly.

“I’ve been very fortunate with the healing process,” she explained.

“I was at a point where I didn’t know how things were going to end up… I didn’t know what it was going to heal like,” she shared.

“I thought I just busted my lip,” she continued.

“Then I walked inside… and went to go survey the damage and was like, ‘Oh, no!’”

“It wasn’t pretty,” Carrie concluded of her injuries.

“It was a chipped tooth and my skin.”

Carrie debuted her new song “Cry Pretty” at the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 15, her first public performance since the injury occurred in November of 2017.
