Benefit Cosmetics is our go-to for many reasons. Its brow products and salon services are the only things keeping us from pursuing microblading, its Hoola bronzer makes it seem as if we just spent the day catching rays and the colorful product packaging double as room decor. Now the brand is satiating our inner philanthropist by donating May’s brow wax proceeds to several charities.
During May Benefit’s Bold is Beautiful project will benefit women in almost 20 nations with the proceeds of its brow services. One Benefit brow wax is the equivalent of “training in financial literacy, two girls attending STEM day camps or a beauty workshop for cancer patients.” Meanwhile, ten brow waxes equate to “one night of safe accommodation and emotional support for a woman in need.” Among the list of charities is Look Good Feel Better, The Princess Project, Dress for Success, Girls Inc. and Step Up. What do all these organizations have in common? They actively work to empower girls and women in various aspects of their lives.
Look Good Feel Better works to boost the confidence of female cancer patients by holding beauty workshops, while Dress for Success focuses on the professional lives of women. Step Up aims to help high school females prepare for college, and The Princess Project holds a dress giveaway each prom season to benefit California teens who can’t afford the cost. The long-established Girls Inc. works to promote healthy lifestyles and academic support.
In case you’re overdue for a brow service and your arches need to make a reappearance, book an appointment and feel good about where the money goes.
