Swift is embarking on her Reputation World Tour, taking the stage Tuesday for the first concert at University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona. And an unexpected frenemy reached out to wish her luck.
The pop star shared a video on her Instagram stories of a package that included a olive branch — the literally sign of a peace offering — and a note.
“Hey old friend,” it reads. “I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and the feelings between us. I really want to clear the air…” before it’s covered. The words “deeply sorry” can also be made out.
“I just got to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch,” Swift says in the post. “This means so much to me.” She even captioned the video, “Thank you Katy,” adding the double heart emoji — which everyone knows is only used for true pals.
The duo have been at each other’s throats for years, but things really came to a head when Swift released the song “Bad Blood,” which fans interpreted to be about Perry. The “Roar” singer seemingly retaliated with the track “Swish Swish.”
“There’s a situation,” Perry told James Corden during an episode of “Carpool Karaoke. “Honestly, it’s really like, she started it and it’s time for her to finish it.”
Guess the “Bad Blood” is gone.
