‘The Voice’ Brings Back Controversial Coach For Season 15

One of the most controversial coaches in The Voice history will be returning to their big red chair for Season 15 of the popular NBC series.

It has been announced that Jennifer Hudson will attempt to construct a winning team alongside Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and returning coach Kelly Clarkson.

Radar Online reported that Jennifer did not get along with her other coaches on the show and that fans disliked her, calling her a “diva.”

Original American Idol winner Clarkson joined the show for its current season, and 2004 Idol finalist Jennifer Hudson is returning after serving as a coach during Season 13 of the series.

Both Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have been with the show since its 2011 launch.

Deadline published a statement from the President of NBC’s Alternative and Reality Group, Paul Telegdy regarding their return.

“We are so excited to welcome back Kelly and Jennifer, two dynamic forces who bring undeniable soul, passion, and inspiration as coaches,” said Paul Telegdy.

“They each have a unique understanding of what it’s like to be in the artists’ shoes.”

Kelly currently has artists in the show’s semifinals.

Jennifer was a judge on The Voice UK last year.

This year, she will star in MGM’s Aretha Franklin biopic after being handpicked for the role by the Queen of Soul herself.

The top eight artists will perform live in front of coaches Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as well as teaming up for competitive Mashup Duets during the show’s hotly anticipated semifinals shows.

The Voice semifinals will air Monday and Tuesday, May 14 and 15 on NBC.
