Meghan Markle‘s father Thomas Markle revealed that after speaking with his daughter and her fiance Prince Harry, he is “honored” that Prince Charles will escort his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day.
Thomas revealed to TMZ that his daughter has his “blessing” on her special day.
Thomas revealed he’s “honored and grateful” Charles will give his daughter away since he can’t be present at the couple’s nuptials due to his heart condition.
He also revealed that he is not “surprised” or “shocked” about Meghan’s choice to have her future father-in-law do the honors.
This comes on the heels of Thomas’ photo faux pas as he was getting ready to head to London to meet up with his daughter and Prince Harry, where his staged photos drew an unflattering light to Meghan’s family.
Thomas revealed that during their phone call, Meghan told him she loved him and was worried about his health.
He then told her he would watch her marry on television.
Thomas revealed to TMZ that he hoped to travel to the United Kingdom to meet Harry and see Meghan “sometime in the near future.”
On Wednesday, May 16, People Magazine reported that Thomas Markle had successfully completed heart surgery and his doctors implanted multiple stents in his blood vessels.
