Taylor Swift is currently on tour for her latest album Reputation. Swift is such a huge star that she hasn’t needed to do much press or interviews to promote the tour. Every show so far has been sold out and she’s grossed an estimate of $50 million.

When Swift does partake in award shows and interviews it’s rare. After being called a “snake” by Kim Kardashian and then dragged by the media, she is quite selective when it comes to giving reporters who are strangers the time of day.

After one of her concerts, where she sings, dances and performances for two hours straight, she did an on-camera interview with BBC reporter Greg James. At the end of the interview, James told Swift, “I think you need to have a shower now,” and fans are not happy.

After he told Swift that he thinks she needs to take a shower, he laughed and Swift agreed. “I agree and I’m not offended that you said that,” she told James.

It’s hard to tell if Swift was annoyed at the comment or genuinely thought it was playful. She is a professional and is known to keep her cool under unpredictable situations (i.e. the 2009 MTV VMAs).

One this is for sure, Swift’s fans, Swifties are not happy about the comment.

The fan account that tweeted the viral video posted a follow-up tweet clarifying the first tweet. They said it was taken out of context and it was just a playful joke.

I don’t think the Swifties are going to stop hating any time soon.
