Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out this Friday, advance screening on Thursday and if you’re not aware of what the movie is about, here’s a quick rundown. Solo is about a young Han Solo meets his mighty future co-pilot Chewbacca and meets his longtime friend and notorious gambler Lando Calrissian. They set on a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
The movie takes place years before the original Star Wars series and we, the audiences and fans get to see how Han Solo become Han Solo. I can tell you that this cast is lit and fantastic as well. However, I’m here to tell you the best moments of Han Solo to get you ready for the movie. Also if you haven’t seen Star Wars, what are you doing with your life?

I know you’re probably thinking, what about the scene on Tattoonie? Well first and foremost, yes it shows that Han’s bold and is ready to jump into action, but it has been something that people debate on ever since it happened and quite frankly, he did shot first. With that being settled, let’s talk about one of his quotes from Empire Strikes Back. It’s become wildly popular and its one of those catchphrases that you can’t help mentioning it. I know for sure I’ve mentioned a few times with my family and friends, only because I’m a nerd.
When Han Shot First At Darth Vader

No one wants to do a deal with the fact that your future father-in-law is Darth Vader and had your future spouse captive who happens to be their daughter. So when Lando revealed that he had made a deal with the Darth Vader, things have, well, made things interesting and quite frankly, something that Lando would do. So in this case, Han did shoot first again.

In The Force Awakens, we see Han being a smuggler once more and he joins Rey & Finn on their adventure. He takes to reflect and tells them that he didn’t believe it, but now being older and witnessed them when he was younger, he tells them that it all of it’s true. All of it.

In Empire Strikes Back, Han goes out and rescues Luke from the cold. The reason why it’s on this list is that Han is always thinking about himself and putting himself first. Which is, totally a Han Solo thing but having him rescuing his best friend from the cold, is definitely heroic.

You might be wondering why this is on here? Well first and foremost, it’s Han & Leia and they’re beautiful. Also, Han wasn’t supposed to say I know. Director Irvin Kershner kept making active changes to screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan’s script and Ford was on board to change Han’s line. However, Carrie Fisher wasn’t happy with the changes since they didn’t tell her about it, which created tension between Fisher and Ford. Though, you couldn’t tell there was tension between Fisher and Ford. Hence why they will be our favorite couple.
