On June 19 Kylie Jenner revealed Kylie Cosmetics newest makeup collection. The collection called Sorta Sweet will have a lip trio and an eyeshadow palette. The Sorta Sweet palette has a range of warm golds with red undertones and muted rosy pinks. The palette is beautiful but fans were quick to realize it looks very similar to Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam eyeshadow palette that came out earlier this year.
Both palettes are warm neutral palettes with a variety of matte and glitter finishes. They both have rosy pinks, reddish oranges, warm golds and dark reddish browns.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam palette has 14 shades while Kylis Cosmetics’ Sorta Sweet palette has nine shades. Obviously, not all of the Soft Glam shades can be found in the Sorta Sweet palette but the nine that are there have a perfect or similar match up to the Soft Glam palette.
Beauty fans took to social media to point out the similarities between the two eyeshadow palettes. Some joked that the Kylie Cosmetic swatches are so cute, with a photo from of Soft Glam swatches. While others criticized Kylie Cosmetics for not doing anything new and different.
The most similar shades between the palettes are Glazed from Sorta Sweet and Glistening from Soft Glam, Rose and Dusty Rose, Sweet and Bronze, Raspberry Sugar and Rose Pink, Cocoa and Mulberry and finally, Spice Plum from Sorta Sweet and Noir from Soft Glam.
The three other shades from Kylie Cosmetics Sorta Sweet palette are similar to some shades in Soft Glam but aren’t dead ringers. It’s not shocking that Kylie is being accused of copying. It’s a running trend in the family.
Before the Soft Glam drop, Kylie was on the other side and someone else was accused of copying her products! The person who was being accused of was Kim Kardashian. Her KKWxMARIO eyeshadow palette looked a tad similar to Kylie Cosmetics Royal Peach Palette.
Do you think Kylie Cosmetics Sorta Sweet palette is a rip off of Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam palette?
