6 Travel Dates You Don’t Have To Travel For

We can all agree that there’s nothing better than going on a vacation with your partner. You get to make some great memories around the world–what can be better than that?

But sometimes money can hold you back from making those travel plans. The flights, accommodations, and activities can really add up. Sadly, it isn’t a reality that you could just dispose of your income for travel. But, you don’t need to go to the destinations in order to get the feeling of travel. Here are some date ideas for the couple on a budget with a travel mindset.

You and your significant other can cuddle up and watch a travel-related movie, series or documentary. You’ll be provided with a quick escape right on your couch. Enjoy your night in!

Make A Travel Bucket List

Plan your trip in advance! Oftentimes, the planning is just as good as the trip. Spend your date gathering inspiration through anything you can find, like blogs, books, movies, apps etc. You’ll begin creating your couple bucket list and begin your travels.

Create A Travel Scrapbook

After you make your travel bucket list, consider making a travel scrapbook with the best pictures you can find. Pull some items from your previous travels (think train tickets) and refer to your best inside jokes. These don’t have to be the big trips. This will be a beautiful addition to your coffee table, and you didn’t have to leave the house to make it.

Cook A Meal From A Different Country

If you have both been longing to visit Italy, then get researching on awesome Italian meals. Find a recipe on Pinterest and you can plan and make your meal together. Perhaps you’ll both find your next favorite meal, and even if the recipe doesn’t turn out as planned, you’ll have a memory for the books.

Plan A Staycation

You don’t necessarily have to leave your home in order to have a great vacation. Find things you can do in your hometown–like a trendy restaurant you’ve been eyeing or a hiking trail you’ve yet to explore. Staycations are the best vacations.

Have A DIY Wine Tasting

If you and your partner can’t make it to a vineyard, consider having a DIY wine tasting in your own home. Go to the grocery store and buy some cheap wine from a region of your choice. Don’t forget a cheese board, and set the mood with some tunes from that region.
