Everything You Need To Know About ‘American Horror Story’ Season 8

Everyone’s favorite horror show, American Horror Story is almost back. American Horror Story: Apocalypse is a mashup up Coven and Murder House seasons. This means that some actors have to play two characters.

Apocalypse doesn’t air until Wednesday, September 12, but there are a few details and, dare we say, spoilers about the season. So let’s break down what you can expect from season eight of AHS.

The premise of the show is that the world is ending and everyone is in a panic. The characters from Coven and Murder House end up in a house together that is a protective barrier from the radioactivity and carnage happening outside. The house, called Outpost 3 and looks like an ominous cement mansion. The trailer for the season says chaos has won and Sarah Paulson’s character clearly is loving her position of power and control amidst it all. The end of the world is set in October 2019.

The residence of Outpost 3 aren’t allowed to leave because of radiation and that residents aren’t allowed to have “unauthorized” sex.

Paulson appears to be in charge of the house and there are no rules unless she makes them. She revels in the punishment aspect of her position. There are lots of restraints, whips and a scary killer in a full latex suit. Sounds like bad BDSM.

Co-creator of the show, Ryan Murphy tweeted on Jun 14 that season eight of AHS will be the crossover fans have waited for. He said Coven and Murder House will share a screen finally. But at the end of his tweet, he said that witches will rule this season. So will the witches come out on top in Outpost 3?

The Coven/Murder House AHS crossover season won't be happening next year…because it's happening THIS YEAR. AHS #8 WITCHES RULE THIS SEPTEMBER

— Ryan Murphy (@MrRPMurphy) June 14, 2018

Cordelia is still the supreme. Paulson confirmed that she still holds the title, but isn’t sure who long it will last. Is this a hint that there will be a new supreme?

Speaking of other hints, Murphy posted on Instagram that each season of AHS is representative of a circle of hell. The only two circles left are lust and violence. Based on the trailer it seems like violence is a major factor. Lust also plays into the plot, hello sex needs to be authorized, but still, violence is more predominant.
