The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is an annual event that’s filled with models, performers and a special designer. It’s a whole event and it’s fast approaching. Find out who will be walking down the aisle, we’re looking at you Gigi and Bella Hadid, who is performing and when the fashion show will be.
The VS Fashion Show is returning to New York City. The last two years the show took a break from NYC and went o Paris in 2016 and Shanghai in 2017. Last year’s Shanghai show caused lots of vias issues with the models and performers, so returning to the states is a smart move.
The show will be filmed on November 8, will be aired on a later date. The VSFS is never live, which is one of the main critiques. The show will be aired almost an entire month later on December 2 at 10 P.M. on ABC. For that month gap be prepared for all of the models walking in the show to keep the excitement up on their social media. It will no doubt be tiring.
Most of the models have already been cast for the show. Big names like Winnie Harlow, Barbara Palvin and Duckie Thot will be strutting their stuff this year. Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner have yet to confirm if they’re walking in the show. Gigi and Kendall didn’t walk in the 2017 show because Gigi had visa troubles while Kendall’s La Perla contract conflicted with the show.
On November 1 VS announced they many performers who will be taking the stage during the 2018 fashion show. Shawn Mendes, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Kelsea Ballerini, Rita Ora, Bebe Rexha and The Struts will all be performing during the show.
This lineup is the biggest one yet. The previous year only featured five acts, while this year has two more. Does this mean the show will be longer or will the musicians’ sets be shorter?
This year British designer Mary Katrantzou will be making a capsule collection for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018. “Everything that Victoria’s Secret creates is about a woman feeling confident and empowered — and also having fun with what she is wearing. This collaboration is going to be bold, fun and playful,” said the designer about the collection.
Last year Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing designed a few pieces for VS and they sold out ASAP.
