Olivia Jade Giannulli is still reeling from her parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, being indicted for bribing the University of Southern California into accepting Olivia and her sister Isabella “Bella” Rose Giannulli.
A source told Us Weekly that Olivia is “not talking to her parents right now” and feels victimized in the college bribery scandal.
“She is still very upset at her parents,” the insider continued. Her friends are telling her “not to be mad at her parents since they were just trying to do the best they could for her.”
Olivia doesn’t agree with her friends and “feels she is the victim.”
Loughlin and Giannulli were indicted for paying $500,000 in bribes to USC to have their daughters admitted as student-athletes despite not being athletes. They were charged with conspiracy to mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. They were both arrested and each released on a $1 million bond.
Olivia and Bella have both dropped out of USC since their parents’ indictments.
Another source told Entertainment Tonight that “Bella and Olivia are suffering in their own ways form the fallout of their parents’ decisions.”
“Bella and Olivia have a very tightknit group of friends who have been there to support them,” the source continued. “They’ve needed that support because they’re being attacked at every turn.”
The source went on to say that Bella, who was a sophomore, “was far more invested in college and would loved to have completed USC.” Olivia is “so embarrassed she doesn’t even want to go out.”
The source went on to say that Olivia is “really angry with her parents because she told them she did not want to go to college and she was pushed.”
“She has been passionate about her career and wanted to work and was doing well but that wasn’t enough,” the source went on. “Her parents said she would have to juggle college and her career. Now she’s devastated because everything she built implode before her eyes.”
“She feels they ruined everything,” the insider concluded.
Since the scandal, Olivia has lost her major partnerships with Sephora, TRESeme and more.
