41 Reasons Why Fall Is Undeniably The Best Season

A few days ago Emerald wrote 37 Reasons Why Fall Is About to Be The Worst Season, and I was perhaps more offended than if she had accused me of wearing fake eyelashes. Don’t come at my favorite season like that, Emmy.
Sure the other seasons are pretty good. Summer is warm and relaxing and wonderful. Winter has Christmas. Spring reminds you that you shouldn’t shoot yourself in the head because it’s about to get warm and bright again. But they’re missing that little bit of magic that comes around when the calendar months start ending in -ber. You know — September, October, November, December. Starting with back to school and ending around the first snowfall here in the northeast, that’s always the sweet spot of my year. It’s when all the best stuff happens! If you still need convincing, read my list of why fall is clearly the best season and see if you still disagree.
1. You will never be more motivated during the semester than you are right now. This time of year is basically the school equivalent of New Year’s.
2. Those days when it’s cool in the morning and evening, but still warm during the afternoon. Amazing.
3. You can sleep with the windows open and not sweat to death.
4. Dressing in layers
5. Scarves

7. Booties
8. Chunky knit sweaters with leggings become a totally acceptable, and dare I say fashionable, outfit

22. Eating the pies you’ve just baked. With a scoop of ice cream, of course.
23. The return of all your favorite TV shows

28. Going to frat parties and realizing it’s still early enough in the school year that you haven’t regretfully made out with half the guys in attendance. Yet.
29. Fall camping trips > summer camping trips
30. Thanksgiving break is long enough that you enjoy your family but short enough that they don’t get on your nerves.
31. Uhh…Thanksgiving dinner aka the best dinner you’ll eat all year

26. Bonfires
37. Not feeling bad about staying in on a Thursday night to drink tea and wear sweats because it’s kinda cold out and your roommate suggested a Netflix binge
