We all get annoyed when there’s a screaming child at the table next to us during a dinner outing, but this diner owner has just had enough. Darla Neugebauer, owner of Marcy’s Diner in Portland, Maine, had quite the lash out on this family during their meal last week… and she’s still not backing down.
Tara Carson, mother of this alleged screaming kid, went ahead and wrote what one would consider an pretty nasty Facebook review of the diner after the incident occurred. According to Carson, it all began when Neugebauer screamed in her child’s face for crying at the table.
Neugebauer’s response, however, is what set off a growing social media rampage. She goes ahead (in a half-literate message) to explain that the child would not be taken care of after she suggested the party leave the diner. She explains that it all started from the child “NEEDING” 3 pancakes and getting upset when she couldn’t reach them.

Obviously, Neugebauer has a very short fuse. This back and forth started an uproar between supporters of both Marcy’s Diner and of screaming kid haters everywhere. People are getting enraged by the fact that this 2-year-old had a hissy fit and that the mother decided to defend her child after the owner went psychotic over it.
As if the situation wasn’t bad enough, Neugebauer continued to unveil her anger with more Facebook posts the following day.
And to think this was all over a stack of three pancakes. Lesson learned – don’t mess with Darla Neugebauer. In the mean time, it seems that Marcy’s Diner is a no kid zone until further notice.
