PSA: Chipotle Has Added The Quesarito To The Menu…But There's A Catch

The day we’ve all been waiting for is finally here – the quesarito has officially made way onto Chipotle’s menu. If you don’t know what the quesartio is, that’s probably because Chipotle has tried to keep it on the hush since forever, but now they’ve finally decided that they just can’t hide this wonderful dish anymore. The quesarito is exactly what it sounds like: a mouth-watering burrito wrapped up in a cheesy, melty, amazing quesadilla. Yes, it’s as incredibly delicious as it sounds.
The catch, however, is not so delicious. The quesarito has been known to be a secret item on the menu due to the fact that the process of making it almost always disrupts the flow of work for the employees. It takes extra time and effort to get a quesarito made and it’s definitely not easy to roll up a huge burrito into a hot, gooey quesadilla. With that said, Chipotle decided it’s going to add an extra $3.50 to the cost of a burrito if you want to make it a quesarito. Not only that, but the customer will be asked to wait while the quesarito is put together because it takes more time to prepare.
“In the case of the quesarito, people were ordering them with enough frequency, and we’d see confusion among customers from time to time because they could be charged differently when they order it,” said Chris Arnold, a Chipotle spokesperson in an interview with Entrepreneur.
Of course people were ordering them with frequency, they’re freaking delightful. But is it really worth all the trouble and the extra $3.50? Probably. The quesarito is worth every penny…just like guac.
