If there were ever a reason to just completely go on strike from fast food, this would be it. This recent YouTube video is guaranteed to make your stomach turn. The video was posted last Tuesday, showing a Checkers employee wiping a burger bun on the restaurant floor and then continue to make a burger with it. Yuck! This incident occurred at a Checkers restaurant in Baltimore, Maryland. The group of workers apparently thought it was hilarious joke to mess with people’s food. The video has now gone viral on YouTube, gaining over 500,000 views now.

Lori Malcolm, the Senior Vice President of Checkers, issued a video statement yesterday in response to the video.
I, like you, am appalled and disappointed by what I saw in that video. We spoke to the employee in the video and her mother — and the employee is very sorry and embarrassed about what happened. The product was never served to a guest.
Luckily, everyone who was involved in this incident has been fired and the company is going to continue to do an investigation on the matter and are going to continue to “explore their options.”
Personally, I don’t think I’ll be eating at a Checkers anytime soon after seeing this nasty video. This video seriously made me want to puke. The only thing I don’t understand is why on Earth would someone want to do this to someone’s food. Like, who really deserves this? It’s really not okay or funny. There’s a such thing as karma, people!
