Girlfriend jorts are now a thing. You heard the term right, they call them girlfriend jorts. And they look just as bad as they sound – it’s a combination of jean shorts and boyfriend jeans. Nope, this is not a joke. The best way to describe them would be the ugly cousin of the Bermuda short (another 90’s clothing fad that should’ve died before it even started.) Can I just please get a “hell NO”?
We can all thank Kendall Jenner for this unfortunate clothing trend after Coachella this year, where she sported the girlfriend jorts with a bikini top and statement necklace. Obviously, this is only something that -700 lb Kendall could pull off, because no other living, breathing female should ever put her dignity on the line by trying to rock the worst pants design next to mom jeans. I mean really, what has the fashion industry come down to?
Hasn’t anybody ever heard of dressing to impress? I honestly don’t think a pair of oversized knee length jean shorts are going to make the boys swoon. Perhaps I’m delusional, but I can’t imagine this fashion craze will last very long whatsoever.
