Why You Need A Little Black (Shirt)dress For Fall

I probably don’t have to tell you this, but dresses are kind of the best when the weather is warm. They’re not only cute and breezy, they are also so easy. I mean, it’s a whole outfit in a single piece. Ain’t nothing wrong with that.
This summer, I’ve realized that I tend to wear the same five or so dresses on repeat. They’re all classic, comfortable, and flattering and they offer up so many possibilities. It just so happens that one of the dresses in my heavy rotation is a perfect little black shirtdress – and the best thing about this one is that fact I can still see myself wearing it into the fall and even the winter.
I’ve been wearing my shirtdress with nude wedges for a cute date night outfit, with slip on sneakers to brunch, with short booties for an edgier night out look, with sandals when I run errands and with pumps for work-related meetings. When the temps go down, I’ll add some tights or leggings into the mix – I may even tuck it into jeans at some point.
I’m not telling you all this because I assume you care a ton about what I wear on a daily basis; it’s just to illustrate the point that a good shirtdress is super versatile. I think everyone should own one, TBH. That’s why I’ve rounded up some cute affordable finds (and they’re all in black because why not maximize the versatility, am I right?)
